Designed for the cake decorator, AFIS 53.503 Piping Jelly is the quick, convenient and affordable way to add instant appeal and colour to your bakery items.

This clear neutral jelly can be coloured to any shade you desire and used in a variety of ways to enhance the appearance of your biscuits, cakes, cheesecakes and other desserts.

1. Instant piped decoration

Unlike chocolate that has to be carefully melted or buttercream and frosting that have to be made before they can be coloured, piping jelly is an instant decorating tool that can be easily stored and instantly coloured, ready for use.

Its neutral colour and flavour work with any flavoured cake, biscuit or dessert.

2. Personalise cakes with writing

With piping jelly you can instantly customise cakes for your customers, adding personal messages and names to cakes you already have on hand.

3. Edible glue for decorating

Piping jelly can also be used as an edible glue to attach decorations to cakes, tarts, cheesecakes and biscuits. It is sticky enough and strong enough to adhere to sugar roses, cake toppers, etc.

Piping gel takes time to dry, providing you with flexibility and time to reposition decorating elements before it sets.

Unlike royal icing or chocolate, piping jelly is clear, so it’s more discreet and you can also colour it to match the items you want to glue together.

4. Stabiliser for whipped cream

Add 2 tbsp piping jelly to every 4 cups of sweetened whipped cream to help keep the whipped cream stable for longer.

5. Prevents buttercream forming a crust

When you’re piping intricate patterns or buttercream flowers, adding a small amount of piping jelly to your buttercream will make the frosting smoother and keep it from crusting as much or as quickly as it would otherwise.

6. Adds extra shine to fondant

Piping jelly adds shine to fondant-covered cakes or decorations, especially when thinned down with a little vodka before brushing it on.

7. Seals and preserves fruit tarts

When flavoured with some vanilla extract or lemon juice and brushed over cut fruit, it seals, adds shine and preserves fruit tarts, making them look more appealing and last longer.

Enhance your bakery items with AFIS Piping Jelly

Made from sugar, water, gelling agent, and preservatives, AFIS piping jelly is clear with a sweet yet neutral flavour and suitable for both vegans and coeliacs.

This highly versatile food ingredient can be coloured and flavoured and also thinned down to achieve the consistency you desire. Fluidity can be adjusted by blending with water, in a figure eight motion to minimise bubbles.

Manufactured right here in Australia from local and imported ingredients, AFIS piping jelly is available in 1.25kg polyethylene jars and has a non-refrigerated shelf life of up to 12 months if kept in a cool place with limited head space.
