Function / Dosage:
Sorbitol is used as a humectant in many types of products for protection against loss of moisture content. The moisture-stabilising and textural properties of sorbitol are used in the production of confectionery, baked goods and chocolate where products tend to become dry or harden. It's moisture-stabilising action protects these products from drying and maintains their initial freshness during storage. Concentration is 70% (w/w). Refer to Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code - Standard 1.3.2 for the labelling provisions, an advisory statement to the effect that excess consumption may have a laxative effect is required for a food that contains levels in excess of 25g/100g as consumed in the final product.

It shall at the time of delivery conform in every respect to the provisions of the Australia/NZ food standards and regulations made thereunder. AFIS does not use genetically modified organisms for the manufacture of their products and to the best of our knowledge the above product is manufactured from raw materials that have not been genetically modified. This product does not require labelling as a genetically modified food in accordance with FSANZ 1.5.2.
