Natural beta carotene obtained by fermentation of natural strains of the fungus Blakeslea trispora food additive code 160a(iii). This product is an oil in water emulsion spray dried onto a glucose syrup (derived from potato starch) and gum acacia carrier.

Function / Dosage:

Water dispersible colouring for food products, e.g. instant beverages, custard powder, jelly products, ice cream and other food products. Provides a yellow colour in the final product depending on the product, processing and the quantity used. Colouring principle is beta carotene 160a(iii). Dosage 20 - 100 g per 100kg as consumed in the final product.

Shelf Life:

Protect from exposure to air and light. Keep the product cool (15ºC) in dry environments. Do not freeze. When a package has been opened it is recommended that the bag is resealed to avoid any exposure to humidity. Shelf life is 12 months in unopened containers.

Regulations:

This product is manufactured from ingredients conforming to FAO/WHO JECFA specifications. It shall at the time of delivery conform in every respect to the provisions of the Australia/NZ food standards and regulations made thereunder. AFIS does not use genetically modified organisms for the manufacture of their products and to the best of our knowledge the above product is manufactured from raw materials that have not been genetically modified. This product does not require labelling as a genetically modified food in accordance with FSANZ 1.5.2.
