A dark reddish brown solution with characteristic odour or taste which provides a yellow to orange shade in neutral food based products such as noodles. The colour of the concentrate may vary with age and raw materials.

Function / Dosage:

This product can be used as an ingredient to colour food products. Recommended maximum dosage is 1g per kg (=24mg/kg norbixin) as consumed in the final product. Shake before use. (Product is manufactured in a facility where some products containing allergen substance are also stored in a dedicated area. Product may contain undetectable gluten and other allergens)

Ingredients:

Water, Annatto extract (Annatto C.I. 75120 160b(ii)), maltodextrin, gum acacia (414) and potassium hydroxide (525)). Carotenoid (Norbixin) content is 2.1 to 2.4%. Any ingredient in this product is listed as GRAS by FDA and/or FEMA.

5 L and 20kg tamper evident polyethylene containers

Shelf Life:

Unopened- 6 months if kept in original packaging and stored correctly. Opened - Evaluate before use. Keep product cool (4-15ºC) do not freeze. Ensure containers are tightly sealed after each use.

Regulations:

This product shall at the time of delivery conform in every respect to the provisions of the Australia/NZ food standards and regulations made thereunder. AFIS does not use genetically modified organisms for the manufacture of their products and to the best of our knowledge the above product is manufactured from raw materials that have not been genetically modified. This product does not require labelling as a genetically modified food in accordance with FSANZ 1.5.2.
