With AFIS 70.528N Gingerbread Flavour it’s easy to add the much-loved flavour of gingerbread to ice cream, creating a sensational seasonal dessert that is the perfect end to a Christmas meal on a hot summer’s day.
Our Christmas Gingerbread Ice Cream is delicious served with our Christmas Gingerbread Biscuits.
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp AFIS 70.528N Gingerbread Flavour
- 2 cups pouring or thickened cream, divided
- 1 tsp AFIS 70.830 Vanilla Flavour
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 100 grams chocolate, finely chopped
Step 1
Combine AFIS 70.528N Gingerbread Flavour and 1/2 cup of the cream in a small saucepan.
Step 2
Stir over medium heat until tiny bubbles begin to appear around the edge of the saucepan – do not let the mixture boil. Keep stirring for 1 to 2 minutes and then remove from heat.
Step 3
Stir in AFIS 70.830 Vanilla Flavour, bring to room temperature and refrigerate until cold.
Step 4
Combine condensed milk and golden syrup in a bowl.
Step 5
Whisk spiced cream mixture and remaining cream with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form.
Step 6
Gently fold in 1/3 of the condensed milk mixture until fully incorporated and then fold in the rest of the condensed milk and the chopped chocolate.
Step 7
Transfer mixture to a loaf pan or freezer-safe container and freeze until firm.
Christmas Gingerbread Ice Cream can be made up to a week ahead of time and will keep in your freezer for up to 2 weeks.
